Where good fitting shoes begin

The Foundations of Lastmaking is an online course for everyone looking to deepen their knowledge of the technical basics of lastmaking. At your own pace, in your own time.

What will you learn?

You will build a solid technical foundation in lastmaking for orthopaedic footwear. The course does not just cover theory - it helps you understand why certain choices are made, so you can apply that knowledge confidently in practice.

You will learn not just how a wooden base last is made, but also how to work with PU lasts and plaster lasts - giving you a complete picture of the materials and methods used in practice.

The course is developed by the founder of Learn to Last together with a group of experienced professionals from the field. What you learn here comes straight from practice.

There is no minimum number of participants. The course is available whenever you are ready.

Who is this course for?

This course is for you if you study or work in orthopaedic technology and want to deepen your technical knowledge of lastmaking. Whether you are just starting out or already have some experience: if you want a solid foundation that stays with you, this is the course.
